We had just stayed night-over halt. Good hotel prompt service, Clean and have warm rooms. Food was served from the opposite dhaba which was opened till 12:30 midnight. The room we stayed does have any windows.

Excellent hotel in haldwani. I visited here four time ( March, May, October and November) with my Bestie. hotel staff is very nice. Room service, food and cleaning is too good if Compare with other hotel in haldwani at same price this one is too good. I think.. For unmarried couple this hotel is very best.

I stayed here for three days in September 17. I found the accommodation to be very good value for money (1400 rupees). Situated a five minute walk from both the train and the bus station all the town's amenities are close by. AC was top-notch, double-glazed windows, so no real issues with outside noise, bedding clean, food good, room service and housekeeping - all good. I found the staff to be extremely helpful, honest and obliging who on more than one occasion went above and beyond my expectations. All in all I would recommend staying here with no hesitation. * I am a little suspicious of the "western girls'" review. There are plenty of hotels in this area - how stuck could they have been with at least three hotels within thirty meters? Maybe the girls negative comments were accurate but if they were, then their experience was the complete opposite of my own.

Hotel gave our room away leaving 2 females stranded in the middle of the night

DO NOT USE THIS HOTEL unless you are okay with being accommodation-less in the middle of the night. We booked this hotel because it was close to the station, and our train was due to arrive from Delhi between 10 and 11 at night (which we did inform the hotel of on our booking). The train was late, which apparently it always is, and we arrived just after midnight to find that the hotel had given our room away and had no vacancies. They knew which train we would be arriving on, so should've known we would be late. First they tried to tell us they didn't have our booking. Then when we showed them our confirmation, they said it was cancelled. Then, in the morning, we got an email from Booking.com saying that the hotel reported us as no-show (!?) So basically we were 2 western females stuck in an unknown town in the middle of the night with no accommodation. We were extremely fortunate that a local girl who had been on the train with us helped us out.

Average hotel, close to the station

We booked Surya for just few hours, for us to stay from midnight until ten in the morning as we had a late night train arrival. It's in a lane close to the hotel and is quite dingy, it's not overtly cheap and for the cost it could do better. Sheets were dirty but bathroom clean and it even has a tv in the room with dth connection and good air conditioner. Staff was indifferent and we anyway didn't stay long enough to judge. If you can spend a few hundreds more, please look for another place. This is strictly for emergency night halts when you have no other go. Due to the dearth of choices, it scores, being walkable from the haldwani station.
